FuhNNY

A comedy-blog brand that finally left Webflow scaffolding. FuhNNY is loud, irreverent, and deliberately not Poetry Obscura’s ink-and-ember mood — but it shares the same engineering playbook: Astro 6, markdown posts, thumbnail pipeline without Sharp on Netlify.

The migration

We pulled content into src/content/posts/, wired categories (hot-takes, field-guides, fake-news, essays), and fixed the unglamorous build edges — hero letterbox CSS, subscribe-thanks as static HTML, prebuild OG PNGs outside Astro so prerender doesn’t fight share assets.

Canonical host is www.fuhnny.com (apex redirects). Separate Netlify site from Poetry Obscura so deploys never cross wires.

What ships today

• Hero letterbox CSS repaired — image blobs no longer show stripe artifacts on the home page
• Post list with real formatting, chat flair, pagination
• Media migrated to JPEG with optimize + thumb passes on demand
• Sveltia /admin pointed at GitHub adamaragon/fuhnny (OAuth still Adam’s to finish for prod edits)
• Optional OpenAI post art via local script — generated assets committed, not built on Netlify

Editorial

The stack is ahead of the cadence. Brand voice is still finding its legs. The point of listing it here is honest status: live, postable, not hiding behind a Webflow forward anymore.
