We’ve been busy. In the world of narrative games, everything hinges on these choices. That’s where we focused in our latest updates on Ending Revoked.

First, the voices. We’ve lifted the narrator-only gate, giving more depth to other characters through a new casting table. The difference is palpable. Now every character that speaks can do so with individuality and nuance. We had to tackle many challenges to make this happen. But that feeling when stories come alive through voices—it’s worth every late night.

Then, genre staging. It’s a kind of magic trick we’ve laid under the surface—six genres, lying dormant until called upon. When a player ventures into a new realm, these genres activate, offering tailored experiences. No need for manual switching by the player. The world adapts around them.

There’s something fascinating about how the Ghibli restyle finally snapped into place. We realized, in the midst of layers and detail counts, that the dial should really be about the face. Not about the tiny elements but the recognizable style—a nod to a familiar warmth. It pivoted on a tiny observation that brought the whole design together.

Meanwhile, we performed a little act of narrative mischief. Pulling the rug on the meeting and the offer—only to replace it with a gripping tournament arc. That’s game design humor at play, bending and shifting to keep players engaged. And through it all, we knew Corvina needed her voice, whispering in the shadows.

Perhaps the most abstract of our updates was the villainy test. A timeout for complexity in the middle of so many plot combinations. Balance is tricky, but letting players stew in the villainy adds flavor. The spine of the game is reinforced with each layer, every chord of Corvina’s quiet voice.

These updates are about more than just technical improvements. They shape how players connect with the narrative, how characters speak to them, and how the world unfurls before their choices.

We keep learning the scale of what it takes to build a game that resonates. Every voice, every genre, every unexpected turn—a testament to the craft of weaving stories that players won’t forget.
