Self Hurt Guide
A satirical self-help blog. No ads, no algorithm, no mercy. Essays + personal anecdotes about not getting in your own way.
A blog that takes self-improvement seriously but refuses to take self-help seriously. Tagline: “est. 2026 — no ads, no algorithm, no mercy.”
What it is
- Long-form essays and personal anecdotes about self-sabotage and the small moments where it shows up
- Categorized content: rants, essays, personal pieces, philosophical reflections
- RSS feed, archive, no email gate
- Stripped-down design — content over commercial trappings
The pitch
Self-help that says “you got this!” without earning it is part of the problem. Self Hurt Guide is the inverse: candid about the parts of you that get in the way, and unsentimental about what it takes to move past them. Less mantra, more mirror.
Stack
Sanity CMS for editorial flexibility (images, references, embedded content), front-end on a JAMstack setup. The CMS choice was deliberate — the writing is the product, the surface needs to stay out of its way.
